Life in the French Riviera as a Study Abroad Student
Studying abroad in the south of France is a wonderful experience! I started my study abroad adventure on the French Riviera at the beginning of January, and it has been a ton of fun! I'm a student at SKEMA Business School, a local university, throughout my time abroad.
I take the bus to get to and from school, which drops me off right in the middle of the town. The historic villages on the French Riviera are among its most amazing characteristics; they provide stunning views of the mountains and the sea. The city center is a lovely, lively area with many wonderful stores and restaurants.
I share an apartment in Antibes with two other CEA CAPA students, and we often like to go walk down to the beach in the afternoons to take in the stunning sunrises and sunsets. The beach is an excellent spot to sit and take in the scenery and it's a brief walk.
Exploring the neighborhood coffee shops in Antibes is one of my favorite things to do. They're full of locals and are a wonderful place to practice your French! Not only are these coffee shops filled with local people but also people from all over the world, as Antibes is a very touristic place.
In the old town of Antibes, and in most areas around France, they have a local market. Fresh food, flowers, and apparel can be found in these markets, and locals and visitors are prepared to purchase them.
One of the best things about France is its culture. A few things I've done to experience it include attending local soccer matches and enjoying local food such as gelato, baguettes, and crepes. Antibes is a great destination for studying abroad; it provides incredible scenery, unforgettable experiences, and everlasting friendships.
